Lucy's 5th Birthday

Lucy turned 5 on the 15th of May. She is a brilliant 5 year old. We did her kindergarten assessment and she got 100%. She already knows everything they will teach her (keep in mind they didn't test her social skills). She has been really defiant lately. She has been really difficult. I was so proud of her for doing so well on her kindergarten assessment but the new motto in our household is "It's good to be smart, but it's better to be kind." I repeat this over and over hoping she will catch on. It's been a tricky year when it comes to her behavior. Otherwise, she is a funny and creative child. She is teaching herself to read and she writes really well. She loves bugs and playing with her princess dolls.

For her birthday, we had a playdate like last year. She wanted a Frozen party so I bought a banner and made a Frozen cake. Her friends Alyssa and Olivia came over along with her cousins and Grandma Rhonda and Grandpa Hans. The kids played, we had pizza, opened presents and had cake. She was so excited to get some Anna and Elsa dolls from Alyssa.

When Lucy was testing out her new swim goggles, Be surprised her with a balloon and 3 gold fish. They were named Fishy, Swimmer, and Goldie. All 3 fish died within 24 hours.
