Pumpkin Carving and Cookie Decorating

On the same day as the carnival we decorated pumpkin cookies.

It was kind of tricky for Lucy but she tried.

Then she gave up and decided to eat the frosting.

After some encouragement she continued decorating.

She was so happy with her result.

After a bite, she went back to eating the frosting off of the knife.

Then we carved Pumpkins! We decided Lucy could color her own pumpkin and help us carve.

Our family of pumpkins.

Ben did the haunted house and I did the skull and crossbones. It was my first time using a carving kit.

Halloween Festivities

Tooele had a Halloween Carnival on Saturday so we dressed Lucy up and decided to go. Before heading into town we decided to take a few pictures of our sweet Snow White. Some are blurry but they are still precious.

Yay for picking flowers and twirling. She's totally oblivious to the fact that her Step mom wants her beating heart in a box.

Snow White is frolicking in the grass right before the huntsman almost kills her but then changes his mind.

My favorite.

She totally saw me taking a picture of her.

The carnival had a ton of games, face painting, tattoos, candy, pictures, hot dogs..... you name it. Lucy had so much fun.

Look who we were lucky enough to have paint Lucy's face. Christin was there.

While everyone else chose pumpkins, bats, and spiders, my little girl chose a butterfly. She wanted a pink one with sparkles.

I love how cute she is when eating hot dogs.

There were a lot of people including a friend from when I was in Sunbeams. YES sunbeams. I haven't seen her in probably 18 years or so. I wish I took a picture with her. She was dressed cute, as always. I was always jealous of her cute dresses even back in Sunbeams.

After the carnival we headed to Macey's. They had more games and treats for the kids. They also had a bouncy house. The second time Ben and Lucy went on it Ben almost killed Lucy. The video is hilarious near the end.

My hubby is so good looking.

Halloween Parties

My friend Tatiana and I really wanted to do a Halloween party. So we decided to do one at my house last Saturday. The theme was to have a "Wicked" good time. The inspiration came from the craft I did with my SIL Lyndsey at the beginning of the month. I love the way my little witch came out.  And I love my sparkly Wicked.

We definitely kept the halloween theme throughout the decor and the food.

We has spiderweb dip, spider lollipops, witch fingers, and witch hats all of witch (haha) was so yummy.

And of course all of our outfits were adorable. Ben and I were a wizard and a witch. He used my makeup to help facial hair magically appear.

Alyssa and Brett (AKA Jasmine and Aladdin)

Tati and Matt (Fashion disasters)

Aaron and Jill (Bob ....not Marley...some painting Bob, and his beautiful tree)

Natalie and Danny (How to Train a Dragon)

This is the gal I go to everything for.

This picture reeks of awesomeness.

My hot friends.

Oh Tati.
We played games and laughed and ate and laughed. The end.

But the partying didn't end there. At Bunco the following Thursday we dressed up again. These eleven ladies are awesome. I am so glad I get to spend a night out with them every month. I have grown to love and care for all of them in the past two years. My greatest bestest friends are in this group of ladies.

I couldn't resist but take a few pictures of myself, including teenage girl/duck face.
