New Years Eve

Dear family and friends,
This year we have been so blessed!
Lucy is 5 and started Kindergarten. She loves school. Her favorite part is riding the bus. She loves to read, color, and play outside. She has a knack for remembering details and is a confident and vocal girl.
Jacob and Luke will turn 2 this coming February. They are starting to talk. Luke is mellow tempered and an excellent climber. Jacob loves to mimic his siblings and loves to eat meat. Both boys love cars, balls, and ducks.
Ben had his 5 year anniversary of being an engineer at Detroit Diesel in Tooele. He continues to enjoy and play softball throughout the Spring/Summer months and is currently playing hockey every Saturday evening.
I continue to stay at home with the kids. I love my morning snuggles with the boys and afternoon chats with Lucy. I enjoy reading, reality television and visiting with neighbors. One of the highlights of my year was visiting our dear friends in Hawaii for a whole week!
We feel so blessed to have so many loving family members and friends. We love you all and want to wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Love,
Ben, Kelsey, Lucy, Jacob & Luke Shugart

Christmas Day

On Christmas morning we told Lucy that she couldn't get out of bed until 7:30 AM. The boys were up at around 7:00 AM and Lucy was so good and stayed in bed. So we got her up. We opened up our stockings and then opened presents. Lucy got a Pop-out pet from Santa. The boys got a Little People airplane and bus from Santa. Afterwards we had a big breakfast with bacon and eggs. We had a nap and then played in the snow. It had snowed a lot on Christmas Eve night. It was the first time the boys had played in the snow. They did surprisingly well and really enjoyed it. They were so cute in their snow clothes.
