Halloween

Lucy dressed up as a lot of things this Halloween.

On Tuesday during dance she was a pirate.

On Wednesday during story-time at the library she was a cowgirl.

The day of Halloween she was Cinderella.

The  night before Halloween we carved pumpkins.

On Halloween day, Lucy had her Halloween party and parade at preschool. The kids had a blast and I am really glad I decided to put on the parade.

Later that night Ben and Lucy went Trick-or-Treating while I stayed home and passed out candy. She did so good staying out over an hour. She had been waiting for this day for so long and the excitement was more than she could handle. She came home and dumped out her candy and quickly started eating her favorites. She helped us pass out candy until our last trick-or-treaters at 8:30pm. I love that our neighborhood starts trick-or-treating around 5:30pm so that they finish early too!

We live in such a close-knit town that everyone knows everyone. We mainly know everyone from our ward but we know others from dance, the library, the town gatherings, the park, softball leagues etc. Most likely we know or are connected to everyone in town in some way. And if they don't know us, they know Lucy. So during trick-or-treating multiple people recognized Lucy and asked about her baby twins. She let the cat out of the bag and told them the genders! So today we'll let our family know before someone in town gets to them first! I may have slipped and told the dance moms too. It turns out that one dance mom is the sister-in-law to the 1st counselor in the primary  so I figured the secret wouldn't last more than a week anyway.

Now on to Thanksgiving!
