First Grade Circus Performance

Grantsville has a lot of long lasting traditions and one of them is the circus. Apparently it has been going on for several decades. It is put on by parents and volunteers in the high school gymnasium. Any first grader that lives in Grantsville can participate. So for the past few months Lucy has been practicing so she could put on a show for the residents. She had two performances, one at 5PM and one at 7PM on a Friday night. Each show was about an hour and a half. She did fabulous. And I am so impressed at what these moms do to put on the circus every year! It is not school affiliated so every year they pass on the torch to another member of the community to organize the show. Hillary Mondragon did such a good job orchestrating the whole event. Many of Lucy's friends participated. Her and Rigdon Fawson are friends from school and they were paired for the intro. He is unrecognizable in the pictures so I wanted to clarify who it was. Other clowns pictured were Sam and Stryker. The show had Jasmine Dancers, Teddy Bear Dancers, Cheerleaders, Muscle Men, Jazz Basketball players. They had silly clown segments, stilts, balance beams, acrobats, musical numbers, and a ton more I cannot remember. They all did so well!
