4 month update

Jacob
Height: 25"
Weight: 16lbs 4 oz (75th percentile)

Jacob is emotional. He can go from smiling to crying and then back to smiling in a matter of seconds. He eats about 6oz every feeding and sleeps from 8pm to 6am. He likes his pacifier and can actually keep it in his mouth. His neck is still pretty stiff from having so little room in my stomach. So he'll only turn his head to the left which has caused a major flat spot on his head. He doesn't roll over or anything. He doesn't really move at all actually. He's discovered his hands and sucks on them once in a while.

Luke
Height: 24 1/4"
Weight: 12lbs 8 oz (10th percentile)

Luke is really mellow. He doesn't really care about much. He can lay on the floor forever pretty content. He only laughs when someone is trying to make him laugh, and only cries when there is a real reason to cry.  He's very social and coos and sings a lot. He doesn't like his pacifier much so he sucks on his fist most of the time. His legs are strong so he kicks them around a little bit and likes to stand with support. He swats and grabs toys more then his brother but still less than he should be at his age. He also hasn't rolled over or anything. He is pretty weak and can't sit up straight and his head is still a little wobbly. He eats about 5 oz at every feeding and sleeps from 8pm to 6am.

Both boys aren't where they should be developmentally. They aren't really interested in being mobile so they sit and watch everyone else. Jacob especially doesn't try to kick his legs or move around. So next month we have DDI Vantage coming to our house to evaluate them. I'm not really worried about them because I think they just aren't interested yet but I'll do what the doctor says. They are social babies who eat well, sleep well and are happy so I am sure when they want to roll over they will. Next week we have an appointment with some doctor to get the boys measured  for helmets to reshape their heads because of the flat spots.

While we were there I had the doctor look at Lucy's ear because she had mentioned that her ear hurt and she had been having goop in her eyes for a couple hours before the appointment. Turns out she had an ear infection and an eye infection. Poor girl.

Swim Lessons

Lucy had swim lessons from June 2-12. She really enjoyed them. She is in the same preschool class as she was last year. She was the most advanced in the class and did so well that I signed her up for another session at the end of the summer. She loves to swim!
