Grantsville Honey Festival

Every year, at the Reuben J. Clark farm, Grantsville has it's annual Honey Festival. Local honey is sold and there is a prize for the best honey. This year there was a big initiative to "Raise the barn." Essentially the city owns the historical site but they want to tear the farm down and extend the cemetery onto the farm site. Of course us Grantsvillians would hate to see the farm disappear so we are joining together to privately purchase the farm. Thankfully Tooele's historical society is matching $2 for every $1 we raise. So we are more than half way to our goal. There were booths and activities and a spook house. We love the Clark farm. And we love that Lucy could have preschool on such a historical site.

Trip to the Hogle Zoo!

The kids and I went to the zoo with my friend Karleen Capell and her little boy. We stayed for a few hours and it was fun. Lucy was so excited to see everything. Eventually Jacob got fed up with the heat and started throwing a tantrum. He was inconsolable so we took him to First Aid and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. Being in the air conditioned room, he eventually calmed down but we were done with the day and headed home. They have updated a lot of things since we went a few years ago.
