Vacation to Midway: Day 2

Everyone slept fairly well for sharing one room. The next morning Ben and Lucy went swimming again while I packed and got ready for the day. We went to lunch at Cafe Galleria with our good college friends Ashlianne and Ben Drewry. They live in Midway so it worked out perfectly. They have two cute kiddos now.

Afterwards, we headed over to the Heber Railroad. We didn't take a ride though.

We then went back to the crater to climb to the top of it. It was beautiful at the top. We could see all of Midway. We could also look down into the crater. Afterwards, we took a few more pictures around the resort and headed home. It was a short but fun trip. I would have loved to stay longer.

While we were there we met this sweet couple from Austria. They have fraternal twin boys who were born on February 6th. She carried to 38 weeks. They showed us pictures of their sweet boys and of her pregnant belly. They were drawn to our twins. Everywhere we go people gravitate toward them but this time was different. I could tell that this sweet mother truly missed her little boys and by seeing my boys brought her joy. We kept running in to them. First at the crater, then the carousal, then in front of the Zermatt, then at the gift shop the next morning. So finally we exchanged contact information.

Vacation to Midway: Day 1

Ben took the week off of work. So on Monday we decided to book a trip to Midway Utah and to stay at the Homestead resort. We left on Tuesday. The drive was only an hour and a half. We arrived around lunchtime so we went to the local Subway.

The resort was so nice. It was huge. They had themed buildings. And since we went in the middle of the week we were the only ones in our building. We stayed in the red barn. There was a fountain right outside of our room and a play ground for Lucy. The room was plenty big for all of us.

After we arrived at the resort we went to the Homestead Crater. It was a natural hot spring. It was a perfect 95 degrees. Everyone loved it. The lens to our camera was a little foggy so it was difficult to get clear pictures. Lucy had a blast. The boys loved just floating around. Luke fell asleep he was so relaxed.

Throughout the rest of the day we explored the resort. It was gorgeous. Midway was settled by the Swiss so everything had a Swiss feel it was gorgeous. We went across the street to the Zermatt Resort and had fun there. They had a carousel,  we did miniature golf, fed the goats, took a lot of pictures, pretended to play chess, and later that evening Lucy swam some more.
