6 Month Update

The boys are 6 months old! The time has gone by so quickly!

Luke

Weight: 14 lbs

Height: 27"

5th percentile

Luke has 1 tooth. He is such a sweet mellow baby. He wiggles around in bed so much that it disturbs his sleep. This last month has been a lot of trial and error trying to get him to sleep soundly. Lucy adores him. She plays with him and they giggle together constantly. She loves to startle him and he laughs like crazy. He loves being outside. He rolls all around the room. Changing his diaper is a struggle. He kicks and arches his back and slaps his arms around. He is great at eating. He loves real food.

Jacob

Weight: 19 lbs

Height: 27 1/2"

85th percentile

Jacob has 4 teeth and 2 more poking the surface. He is such a goober. He smiles constantly. He loves to be held. He cries if he sees me and I am not holding him. I joke that he sleeps with one eye open. He can sleep through Luke's crying constantly, but as soon as I sneak past his crib his head turns and he fusses for me to pick him up. He constantly poops out of his diaper. He can sit up and is so strong. He prefers having a bottle as opposed to real food. He gets scared pretty quickly and cries pretty quickly. He sleeps very well and doesn't fight it. He pays attention to detail and his fine motor skills are amazing. He is quick to grab things. 

 

Lucy

Lucy has been amazing. We have really been focusing on the concept of being grateful. She struggles when things don't go EXACTLY how she wants them to go and she doesn't handle change very well. When we focus on gratitude it helps her to realize that even though x happened we can still be grateful for y and z. She has learned the concept that even if the mess isn't hers she still needs to help around the house. She helps clean up after the boys, puts her dishes away, and even helped me by cleaning all of the baseboards and doorknobs this week. She is beautiful and confident and kind. She has been sleeping downstairs in the guest room because the boys have been loud at night and because she really enjoys it. 

I just love my kiddos. They are so sweet and  well behaved.
