Summer Miscelaneous

We had such a fun summer. I didn't take many pictures but we had so much fun. We went to the movies every Tuesday morning. We saw 8 movies! On the last one, I purchased popcorn and soda for the kids.

We went to a lot of parks. We got to enjoy time with our cousins. With them, we went to the Children's Curiosity Museum, to a splash pad, park, and to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point. The kids got to ride ponies there.

We attended the Tooele County Fair. There we watched some barrel racing and then went to the Utah Firefighter's Museum.

We went to the library weekly. We participated in their Summer Reading Program. Through it we got lots of free pizza, free swimming, free bowling and free tickets to the children's museum. Lucy worked her way through all of the Magic Tree House books. They are about a 3rd grade reading level but they are perfect for her. She loves to read.  The boys still don't do well in story time so we don't go. They still rip books but they are  starting to show a little more interest. And I discovered Thriftbooks.com ! It's a website where you can purchase barely used books for a few dollars. I've ordered a few times and have been impressed each time.

I was able to go to Girls' Camp for a week. I also had the opportunity to attend Stake Relief Society temple day and then go shopping afterwards.

We were able to potty train the boys in July. The really actually potty-trained themselves. Ben had a week off and so we put them in underwear and let them figure it out. They did great.

Something Lucy and I really enjoyed this summer were the sunsets. We love to watch the gorgeous sky here in Utah. We also enjoy going to plays together. We saw Suessical the Musical and Jack and the Giant.

Man, what a FUN summer!! Looks like you guys are having a really nice life. Well done. Those kids sure looked like they enjoyed it. People keep asking me if I go to Story Time at the library and every time I feel like they must have absolutely NO idea about what life with twin toddlers is really like. Of course not!! Of course I don't go to story time because it would be a huge disaster, I can promise you that right now.

I can't get over how much I think Luke and Ezra look alike.
