Lehi Fun Center and October Hodge Podge

We've been doing Preschool for a little over a month now and it is going great. The kids are used to the schedule now and really enjoying it. We've had a lot of fun and I get to do it the way I like it.

Our first day of school we took pictures.

We've been busy with a ton of crafts and activities.

Table Time and Playtime downstairs  is a favorite.

 My little Halloween Spiders!

Lucy also loves dance. She's been practicing for her Christmas Dance Recital. They still have a lot to learn but it's coming along great.

The babies are doing well. Today we had our 20 week appointment. Their heartbeats are strong. They are growing as they should and even measuring a little big. They are wiggle worms but I can't feel them very strongly with how squished they are. I am growing exponentially. I wasn't showing with Lucy until well past 20 weeks. I am blowing up like a balloon and it surprises me every time I look in the mirror. We know the genders but we're not telling....just yet.

You can definitely tell how I'm feeling by looking at my pregnancy pictures.

14 weeks
At this time I was still awfully sick. I could hardly get out of bed. Hence the no hair or makeup in this picture.

17 weeks
I was still sick at this time. It definitely wasn't interfering with my day though. Hence, the makeup and the almost doing of the hair by throwing it into a bun.

 19 weeks
By this time I was feeling great. Hence, the makeup AND hair fully done.

Today after our doctor's appointment we went to the Lehi Fun center.  The first thing we did when we got there was sit down at a table with our yummy chocolate milkshakes and we opened up an envelope with a note and pictures from the ultrasound tech to find out what our babies' genders are. We wanted to enjoy the moment with just the three of us. After looking at the pictures, we then moved on to enjoy miniature golf and some rides and laser tag.

Lucy went on her first ride ever by herself. She loved it.

On the way home we picked out pumpkins.

It was a busy day full of fun and overflowing with emotions.

Dance and Preschool

Lucy was really struggling every day she came home from preschool. And to be honest, I was really struggling with her preschool for my own reasons. I went to volunteer and I was disappointed to say the least. I completely came to understand why Lucy was struggling.  I came home and quickly called another preschool to sign her up, but they were full. So we decided to pull her out.

We are using the money instead to have her in dance class. After a month of stressful preschool problems it was so good to see her accelerating at dance. I was beaming the whole hour as I watched her. I knew that the problems she was having was because of the environment she was in, so putting her in a healthy and happy environment felt like such a relief. The teachers and the setup for dance were amazing.

I still think its important to have preschool. I taught Lucy and another little boy in my ward very casually last year. We had so much fun. Here is a glimpse of what I did last year.

This year, I decided we'll do preschool again. But this time, it will be very structured. I figured she'll need classmates, so we invited 3 other children in the neighborhood. I've been working all week trying to get everything ready. I converted my front room into the Circle Time room. There we will go over the calendar, the pledge of allegiance, the letter of the day, sing a few songs and go over the day's activities. Afterwards, we'll head to the kitchen for Table Time. Here we will work on fine motor skills and then do a craft. Then the kids will head to the basement for Playtime. We'll also have Snack Time, Story Time, Gross Motor/Music Time, and then head back to the front room for books and puzzles until the moms come to pick them up. Let's just say I'm taking on a lot when I'm 16 weeks pregnant. I hope it all works out.

The Circle Time Room is not quite finished. Eventually there will be the alphabet in the form of a train wrapping itself around the wall. As we complete a letter, we'll hang it up. Right now we just have a conductor ready to start his train over by the window.

I hope it works out. I have a mom who quit the same preschool Lucy was in to bring her to me. And another mom wants to bring her to me but I don't know if I could handle 5 kids. Some moms are willing to trade the teaching roll which eases my mind a little.

Here's to a new adventure.

Labor Day Weekend

My brother came down from Canada and took the family to Deer Creek Reservoir on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. We went tubing behind his sea-doo.

On Monday we went to the SLC Seven Peaks water park. It was a really relaxing day. Lucy was so good. She loves the water. I pretty much didn't do anything. I didn't really talk. I just sat in the water and watched everyone. It was perfect.
